Rates & Cancellation Policy

Effective January 15, 2011

Estate Mediation Services:

A schedule of estimated fees and disbursements is prepared and attached to the Agreement to Mediate using the following rates.

• Full Day (7 hours)	$2,950.00	Time in excess at $395.00 per hour.
• Half Day (3 ½ hours)	$1,500.00	Time in excess at $395.00 per hour.
• Preparation	$395.00	per hour.

Additional time spent on reports or other services after the mediation is charged at the rate of $395.00 per hour.

Situations of Demonstrated Need:

In our discretion, special arrangements may be made for situations of demonstrated need.

HST:

HST is charged in addition to fees and out of pocket expenses, as required by law.

Payment:

All accounts are divided equally among the parties and are rendered to the lawyers representing the parties as a disbursement payable by counsel, unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. All accounts are due and payable when rendered.

Cancellation and Postponement Policy:

Notification of cancellation or postponement given in the time indicated bear the following charges:

• One (1) business day before the scheduled date - Full estimated or tariff fee and any out-of-pocket expenses incurred plus HST.
• Two (2) to five (5) business days before the scheduled date - One-half of the estimated or tariff fee and any out-of-pocket expenses incurred plus HST.
• More than five (5) business days before scheduled date - $500 and any out-of-pocket expenses incurred plus HST.
